Korean dance has been highly regarded by the Korean royal court and educational establishments for over one thousand years. Through story telling, many forms of the Korean dance is rich in culture and sentiment as they represent the Korean life, the joys and the grief of the war torn country. Although during the Japanese occupation Korean dance were forced to be forgotten, the dances are still practiced today symbolizing the enduring character of the Korean culture.
This is my attempt to visually illustrate the dimensions of subdued grandeur, discipline and elegance of the traditional Korean dances in a 2 dimensional medium.
